I'm someone who believes you can't be a public figure without being a hypocrite, because the idea of being able to be more open to others ideas and changing your own mindset over time, makes you more of a understanding communicator. It gives purpose to debates and as long as you acknowledge your intentions, you should feel in the right for doing so. People think of a hypocrite being someone with a standing belief that they don't really have, in reality the public doesn't always witness the change and so the general conclusion made is that you lied about your belief. I think someone welling to change their ideas and take heat for being called a hypocrite is far more trust worthy than someone who doesn't acknowledge being one ever. The best quote I can think for this is the batman quote "you either die a hero or live long enough to become a villain" even though your not a villain for changing mindsets, The quote has emphasis on the idea people change through discussion and societal understanding. I think expression only exists because people find empathy in a lot of different ways and beliefs,so being a hypocrite is part of life because most people are not there to see the change in belief, and the idea of a hypocrite is a person doing something they have been known to be against, but the flaw with this is that no person is paid attention to every second of every day and no person active has a life image enigma carved like a statue.
